Lessons learned

Reflecting on last year, there were a few key lessons learned.

Reflecting on last year, there were a few key lessons learned.

The one that sticks out the most would be our goal to create an end-to-end sales pipeline. The year long process has been extremely rewarding, and having a well-defined sales funnel has also helped us to better understand our core customers.

In addition to working directly with our clients on their websites, web applications, and marketing automation, we?ve discovered a need for agencies when they?re under resourced or lack capability in-house. As a result we now have a ?ways of working? methodology, which enables us to quickly support branding, creative and digital agencies, with full-stack technical resource to get projects over the line.

Another area we have been focusing on is our own products, which integrate directly with the custom software our clients use on a daily basis. It?s hard to believe that this year alone we?ve built 3 core products across a wide range of areas:

Dream Theme is our component-based solution to designing and building custom websites without code. Think of a scalable Squared Space, and you?ve got the gist. Ideal for the likes of PR and creative agencies, or brands that need to quickly create websites for various project needs. Dream Theme enables non-technical peeps to add, edit and remove website components (sliders, navigation, layout, etc.) to build modern websites for their clients or needs, eliminating the need for developer resource in-house.

Dream Mail is our fully integrated email marketing solution that allows authors to send out email marketing campaigns directly from their website back-end. We?ve been adding some killer features such as automation and segmentation, which make it on par feature-wise with popular email marketing software such as Mail Chimp and Campaign Monitor. The fundamental difference is that Dream Mail lives within your website and allows for highly-custom integration and features to be added for a more specific use case and value-add.

Dream Ambassador stemmed from our desire to better understand social API?s. Ideal for brands with ambassadors on board, it amplifies the reach of ambassador / brand-driven content from various social channels like Instagram, Facebook and Twitter. Leverage the power of dynamic social content on your website or next promotion to maximise brand and product awareness.

So there you have it, some of what we?ve been up to in 2017. Big shout out to everyone we?ve met this year and continue to work closely with.
